New Reflex&Allen Acquisition

Reflex & Allen Group (R&A), have announced the acquisition of 100% of the shares of Maehler & Kaege GmbH (maehlerkaege.com) .
R&A was established in 2009 when Reflex SRL, of Guiglia, Italy, purchased Allen Group Limited (AGL). AGL, had, and continues to have, manufacturing plants in Bodelwyddan, UK; Wuxi, China; and Jamshedpur, India. The group now in addition has manufacturing plants in Indianapolis, USA; Sao Paolo, Brazil; as well as three additional Indian sites. There are also sales offices around the world, including Yokohama, Japan.
Reflex has long been a market leader in the manufacture of reflective signs and plates for commercial vehicles. The extensive range includes products suitable and approved for every country in Europe. These products are manufactured at R&A Headquarter, a state of the art fully automated plant in Guiglia, near Modena, Italy.
The previously ‘Allen’ produced parts comprise a wide range of hoses and tubes, both mono-layer and multi-layer structures, for pneumatic and fuel applications. A major product line is also coiled air hoses (air-brake coils) for the connection between articulated trucks and trailer. Pre-formed pipes for fluid power transfer, such as fuel-pipes, coolant hoses, power-steering pipes etc, are produced in the group factories around the world. Two years ago R&A started the manufacture of special composite parts: mainly lightweight carbon fibre components for both specialist vehicle and CV applications.
One of the additional core activities is the production of multi-core cable, coiled electrical hoses and connectors for truck and trailer connection. Originally manufactured by ‘Allen’ these parts are now made in the group companies around the world.
Maehler & Kaege, established in 1907, has long been a traditional market leader and innovator in the design and production of these electrical products for the military industry as well as automotive. The combining of the two companies will provide for significant synergies and greatly widen the range of products offered.
